Galicia

From the 9th century until the beginning of the 12th century, eastern Galicia was part of the State of ancient Russia, subject to the Vladimir-Volyn principality. In the second half of the 11th century, the independent principalities of Volodar and Vasilko arose here with centers in the cities of Przemysl, Zvenigorod, Terebovl, and Galich.
