Tibor Imre Baranyi: The Fourth Political Theory as alternative

Thanks to the philosopher and theologian Tibor Imre Baranyi, the book by Alexander Dugin, "The Fourth Political Theory," is now available in Hungarian. As Dr. Baranyi said, this book can provide a real alternative system in the present unipolar world.

"As I also said at the book presentation, this book is such a joy that those who are sympathetic to it, or who understand its content, should open a bottle of champagne to celebrate it.

But jokes aside, I really mean it when I say that, considering its metaphysical foundation, this book is epochal in the sense that it really provides an alternative system, which, after the century-long struggles of the three modern political ideologies, can really show a new way in a – let’s say, sociopolitical sense.

The fact that this was released in Hungarian has a certain history, but I think that the obstacles to understanding this book in proper depth, which I have outlined in this lecture, particularly a certain type of Russophobia, are things that can be overcome. This is for primarily historical reasons which date back to 1849, and are especially linked to the problems of the decades following 1945 and the regime known as Communism or socialism. More specifically, it is because of many people's belief that Communism is inextricably linked to the Russian people.

But this is a mistake, because obviously Communism is not the Russian people. I don’t think it's hard to understand this or to make a mental effort to do so. We know this perfectly well, or should know it, from various cultural, literary, and even fine arts sources.

This is why, if these obstacles are overcome, we can turn in an unbiased way to this work of the Russian author, which shows such intellectual depth that it is spectacular not only for those who are interested in Right-wing theories, but that can also provide a serious critique even for those who are more interested in the theoretical basis of liberalism or Marxism, or who at least knows the works of those thinkers.

I think that, as I said at the book presentation, first and foremost books have to be read, and if such obstacles are removed, this book can provide a real alternative system in the present unipolar world, which is today liberalism in Europe, and which is becoming increasingly so in the rest of the world, too.
