PM Khan; the Ambassador of Kashmir
12.10.2019
From questioning international community’s responsibility towards human rights at the forum of United Nations to fighting the case of ill-fated Kashmiris and from siding by Kashmiris to highlighting the actual monstrous face of India to the entire world, PM Khan has lived by his words and proved himself as the Ambassador of Kashmir. Since the Black day of 5 August when India penned down the history of human rights abuses and revoked article 370 unilaterally, Khan has seemed to be fighting Kashmir cause with a great rationale and a high morale. The peaceful protests at national level, bringing Kashmir problem under limelight at the regional and international forum and unveiling India’s saffron face, further cemented the fact that PM Khan has spared no opportunity of to ease the plight of Kashmiris suffering at the brutal hands of Hindutva goons in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
He -Khan- told the world how Modi in alliance with Hindutva factions has been suppressing and subjugating Kashmiris, how he has been ripping Kashmiris off their legal and basic human rights, how BJP regime has been saffornizing the entire India and how the world has been maintaining a criminal silence over this brutal posture of India just for the sake of financial gains.
Khan, during his UN tour to US, has shed light on the Kashmir problem. On his second day of US visit for UN session, he was called on by the US senators. He spent the 2nd day of UNGA visit briefing US law makers, scholars, human rights activists and media on the Indian brutalities and atrocities in Indian Occupied Kashmir. US Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee Lindsay Graham called PM on 22nd September. Schumer is a human rights activist and has been taking deep interest in the human rights abuses in IOK, while Graham-having been sent to Pakistan twice- is also among the four senators who wrote a letter to President Trump asking him to take an immediate action against the humanitarian crises in IOK. PM Khan briefed these US legislators about India’s genocidal tendencies. He also kept them abreast of the grave human rights abuses committed by BJP regime in occupied Kashmir. Khan also acknowledged Amnesty International report on use of pellet guns by the Indian forces in Kashmir. Khan’s outreach to all the international forums and players has helped raising awareness of international community about Kashmir crisis.
If India imposes war or gets indulged in a war act, Pakistan would fight back for there won’t be any option of turning back.
Not only had this but PM Khan also fought Kashmir case in United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) valiantly. He delivered a heartfelt speech and fearlessly spoke about the plight of Kashmiris. He unmasked the reality of extremist RSS and the evil face of south Asian Mussolini i.e. Modi. Khan raised his voice about the inhumane curfew in IOK, the extremist and saffron politics of RSS and Modi’s lifetime membership of RSS. He also mentioned the fact that amid India’s intransigence, Pakistan has always extended the hand of friendship multiple times; it’s always India that has not only shunned that hand promising peace but has also mud slung Pakistan without any solid proof. PM Khan shared his abysmal concern that India’s belligerent and bellicose designs would make Pakistan to play her part in her defense as well which would have horrific repercussions for the region and the world. If India imposes war or gets indulged in a war act, Pakistan would fight back for there won’t be any option of turning back.
Additionally, on 7th October PM Khan also briefed US senators about the ongoing crisis pertaining to human rights in IOK. Senators Christopher J. Van Hollen and Margaret C. Hassan visited Pakistan to assess the gravity of human rights abuses in IOK after India’s unilateral revocation of article 370. Hollen is part of a group of US Senators who have expressed deep concerns over grave human rights crisis in IOK, which has been under siege since 5th of august. According to a report in The Washington Post, Hollen was refused an entry into IOK as well. Moreover, PM Imran Khan also told the US Senators that owing to India’s inhumane posture towards innocent Kashmiris, there would be no bilateral talks between Pakistan and India. He has urged for an involvement of international powers in the resolution of current Kashmir dilemma.
Conclusively, PM Khan has verbally and practically sided by Kashmir and Kashmiris. He is not only struggling hard for the basic human rights of Kashmiris suppressed by the claws of BJP ruled India but also striving to reveal the real face of saffronized India. Unlike most of the leaders of Muslim world, he has stood by the Kashmiris and has been putting his utmost efforts to ensure them their due rights curtailed by India in specific and by the world in general.
