Major terrorist attacks prevented in Moscow: Turkish trace

Thursday, 15 December, 2016 - 13:45

Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has prevented a series of major terrorist attacks, planned to be carried out in Moscow. Explosive devices, weapons and ammunition are reported to be confiscated from citizens of Tajikistan and Moldova, which are ISIS members. But a probable organizer of these attacks is in Turkey.

This direct reference of the Federal Security Service to Turkey, where anti-Russian rallies organized by Islamists have been recently held, shows some cooling in relations between countries caused by different views on the settlement on the Syrian crisis. Last night there were held a series of telephone conversations between the Presidents of Syria and Iran, the foreign ministers of Russia and the United States and the leaders of Russia and Turkey. This morning President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced an urgent meeting of Turkey's National Security Council, whose main purpose will be to discuss the problem of terrorism.
