71st UN General Assembly opens in New York

13.09.2016

A number of questions are on the agenda, some of which are irresolvable.

Routine work

The General Assembly session takes place every year in September and is a standard procedure within the UN. As a rule, the leaders of states (or foreign ministers) express their opinions on urgent issues and propose to adopt resolutions.

Sometimes, there are extraordinary performances, such as the speech of the former President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, or that of the late Hugo Chavez.

An outdated system

The United Nations was created in the era of the bipolar world and reflects the vestiges of the Cold War, as does NATO. It is significant that the headquarters are located in New York, indicating that the leading role within the organization is assigned to the United States.

Often enough, many countries become hostages of US policy while Washington exerts pressure through its financial leverages - the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.

In addition, the property of the UN headquarters’ building was paid for by the funds of the globalist banker Rockefeller.

It is obvious that the UN’s working methods need to be changed, as Russia, Brazil, India, and several other countries have repeatedly called for.
