MI5 stoped Scotland Yard from arresting ISIS supporter Choudary

Pro-ISIS "preacher" Anjem Choudary was allowed to walk the streets for years because MI5 prevented Scotland Yard from arresting him, it has been stated.

Counter terror officers said they had sufficient evidence to for case against the radical ISIS supporter but were reportedly stoped from the arrest because he was a vital part of MI5’s ongoing investigation.

This situation led to tension between the two sides with police feeling “frustrated” that Choudary was not being brought to justice.

Serious questions were raised as to why Choudary was allowed to continue spreading his ISIS propganda across the UK for over 20 years, but now a counter terror source has stated that MI5 were responsible for this.

Following his conviction of inviting support for ISIS it emerged Choudary was involved in at least 15 terror attack plots going back as even to the year 2001.
