The father of the Orlando mass shooter is backing Hillary Clinton for president, telling WPTV that Clinton is “good for the United States” while Donald Trump “has no solutions.”

Seddique Mateen attended a Clinton campaign rally in Kissimmee, Fla., on Monday, WPTV reported.

He spoke about his support for Clinton at a rest stop in West Palm Beach, Fla.

“It’s a Democratic Party, so everyone can join,” Mateen told the network.

He defended his attendance at the Clinton rally, saying, “I love the United States, and I’ve been living here a long time.”

“I spoke a lot about that and wish that my son joined the Army and fought [the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria],” Mateen added. "That would be much better.”

The Clinton campaign told ABC News that Mateen was not invited to the Kissimmee event.

“The rally was a 3,000-person, open-door event for the public. This individual wasn’t invited as a guest and the campaign was unaware of his attendance until after the event.”

Background on this from Katehon:

The Orlando attacker is not an obvious Muslim terrorist. He worked in the world's largest private military company - British G4S (at a branch in the United States). It is closely related to British and American intelligence agencies, and therefore the would-be shooter had access to various arms. The FBI questioned him several times before he committed the attack. The last time was a week before the tragedy. All these circumstances make it plausible that this was a pre-planned provocation. A possible goal would be the intensification of the US military presence in the Middle East under the pretext of "fighting terrorism." The idea of the Clash of Civilizations is fueled by this attack as well as ideas of American-Israel solidarity and the idea of strong American presence in the Middle east.
