UN: a record number of victims in the Donbass in the past 10 months

Intense clashes in the east of Ukraine in June led to the highest number of civilian casualties, since August 2015. This is stated in the latest report by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs on situation in the Donbass region in the period from 1 to 30 June.

As the UN reports, as a result of attacks 12 people were killed and 57 were injured of varying severity. According to the report, the attacks were carried out artillery systems caliber prohibited Minsk agreements.

In total, according to OCHA, since the beginning of the conflict in eastern Ukraine 9470 people were killed, of whom about 2,000 were civilians. Another 21 880 people have been injured.
