Russia: Putin approves new Doctrine of Information Security

Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the new Doctrine of Information Security of Russia. He has also signed the corresponding document.

Vladimir Putin said: «In order to ensure information security of Russia, I decree to adopt the attached Doctrine of Information Security of the Russian Federation. In accordance with the military policy of the Russian Federation, the main aims in provision of information security in defense are strategic restraint and prevention of military conflicts which could arise as a result of use of information technologies»
