Putin discussed the situation in Aleppo with the Security Council

Russian President Vladimir Putin has discussed with the permanent members of the Security Council the situation in Aleppo and Mosul, where the government forces were conducting operations against terrorists of banned groups.

Putin paid special attention on the humanitarian pause in Aleppo. The members of this meeting also noted that it was important to begin the process of delimitation of so-called «moderate opposition» and terrorists.

Moreover, the representatives of the Security Council exchanged views on the beginning of the operation for releasing Mosul, the consequences of which could be: potential moving of extremists from Iraq to Syria and the subsequent influx of refugees.
