Poll: Ukrainians regret the disintegration of the USSR

More than a third - 35% - of citizens of Ukraine regret the collapse of the Soviet Union. This is according to a new opinion poll cited by the publication "News of Ukraine."

It is reported that the Ukrainian mass survey conducted in September 2016. And, according to the study of public opinion, the amount of yearning and nostalgia for the Soviet Union is growing annually by an average of 2%.

It turned out that the most pro-soviet people are in the eastern and central regions of Ukraine.

Almost 40% want to return to the Soviet era.

Katehon experts comment on this:

This nostalgia is not for communism as for a strong non-westernized state which the USSR was.

People see the failed-state post-coup Ukraine and have no good feelings towards the decay which the country is today.

Ukraine was always a part of the Eurasian civilization, yet the pro-american coup has caused the country to drastically change course in a direction that is destroying Ukraine.
