The US military’s Central Command has reported that an unknown number of civilians (including children) were killed during the U.S. military operation targeting Al-Qaeda militants in Yemen.

“A team designated by the operational task force commander has concluded regrettably that civilian non-combatants were likely killed in the midst of a firefight during a raid in Yemen January 29. Casualties may include children,” the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) reported.

Previously, the CENTCOM also announced that in the course of this operation, 14 terrorists were killed. However, doctors, who were working in the war zone, said at least 30 civilians were dead, including 10 women and children.
