Parliamentary elections in Romania

According to opinion polls, the Social Democratic Party is going to take the majority of seats in the Parliament. Presumably, 45% of votes will be for this party. The pro-presidential National Liberal Party is gaining about 25% of votes.

Moreover, the National Salvation Front of Romania, the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats, The People's Movement Party, led by former President Traian Băsescu have a chance to overcome the 5% barrier.

11 parties and movements are involved in the elections, the main differences of which are in their programs within the domestic and social policy.
