Netherlands does not allow Ukraine to enter into EU

The Netherlands has promised to veto the EU association agreement with Ukraine. In turn, the country has provided the European management with a new project of another agreement.

The Netherlands Government stresses that the agreement needs to include a binding defense guarantee with Ukraine, and the question of its further membership of the bloc will not be raised. Dutch Prime

Minister Mark Rutte said that the results of the referendum proved that the citizens, as well as most of the rest of Europe, didn’t want to take on the obligation to provide Kiev with financial, military or any other assistance.

The agreement will enter into force, only after its ratification by all EU Member States. This is extremely difficult, also because of the position of Amsterdam.

At the moment, the poorest country in Europe is considered to be Romania, but event this country helps Ukraine, which has been recently recognized not only one of the poorest countries in the whole world, but also the most corrupt in the European region.
