Michael Fallon accuses Sputnik and the RT of spreading misleading information

British Defence Secretary Michael Fallon said the Kremlin was guilty of “weaponising misinformation” in a campaign of destabilization against the West. Then Michael Fallon warned NATO to be active and do more to counter threats.

Moreover, he even accused Sputnik and the RT of spreading misleading information on Syria and Ukraine.

“We need to call out messengers like RT and Sputnik. In 2015 Ofcom [UK Office of Communications] sanctioned RT for broadcasting content ‘either materially misleading or not duly impartial’ regarding Syria and Ukraine. It is beyond irony that one of those programmes was called ‘Truthseeker,’” Fallon said in a statement.
