Less than 700 people participated in referendum in Abkhazia

In Abkhazia the referendum on early presidential elections is taking place. To the vote less than 1 percent of the population has come. In absolute terms it is about 700 people, the head of the Central Election Commission of Abkhazia Batal Tabagua said.
The total number of voters in the country, according to the CEC lists of 130 thousand people. Voting in the referendum began at 7:00 am on Sunday, July 10.
Earlier, the president of Abkhazia said the plebiscite will help relieve the tension in the society. The announcement was made after the riots in which residents have demanded the resignation of the local Interior Minister. President satisfied this requirement
