US secretary of state John Kerry has paid a visit to Saudi Arabia, where, according to official data, he was going to hold talks with Saudi foreign minister, Adel al-Jubeir. Meanwhile, the issue of the conflict in Yemen and the recent civilians’ deaths because of regular Saudi bombing were hardly discussed.

According to the press office of the White House, Kerry made an emphasis on the development of US-Saudi relations, stressing that they were at an excellent level.

He said: “In turbulent times, it’s good to have solid friends. That’s why the United States’ partnership with Saudi Arabia is rightly so valuable”.

In turn, Adel al-Jubeir reported that during the talks the issue of the law of 9/11 allowing Americans to sue Saudi Arabia in connection with any attacks was discussed.
