Iraq executed 36 ISIS terrorists

Iraqi authorities have executed 36 terrorists of "the Islamic state" who were convicted in the attack on the Iraqi air base “Spiker” in 2014.

Total in this case were 40 fighters, but to death by hanging were sentenced not all. The fate of the convicts has been resolved on August 14, when Iraqi President Fuad Maasum signed a corresponding decree. All the accused were executed in "Nasiriyah" prison, which is located in the south of the country, in the province of Dhi Qar.

The attack on the air base, "Spiker" occurred in June, 2014. Then more than 1.7 thousand militaries were killed. Later, their bodies were found among mass graves.
