Haiti: presidential elections start

After the election date was postponed 4 times (the last time, in connection with the hurricane), Haitians vote in the general presidential and parliamentary elections. The previous elections held in 2015, but their results were canceled in connection with the falsification.

At this time, there are 27 candidates. Many of them are in favor of country’s withdrawal from the UN mission, which is guilty of the spread of cholera, which caused hundreds of thousands of Haitian deaths.

Such issues as the restoration after the earthquake of 2010 and the recent hurricane is going to be discussed with other priority problems.

6 million people are expected to participate in these elections.
