German Foreign Ministry - Berlin is happy with the rapprochement between Ankara and Moscow

The German Foreign Ministry stated that the German authorities can only welcome the establishment of relations between Turkey and Russia.

According Zavsan Shebli, representing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Turkey and Russia play a very important role on the world stage, as well as in the Middle East region. The rapprochement between the two countries result in improved geopolitical climate as a whole to move forward in finding a solution to the Syrian conflict, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.
