When the National Assembly , which is under the control of pro-American opposition, had voted for starting the process of impeachment of President Nicolas Maduro, citizens began to gather around the presidential palace to express their support for the president. Maduro had to interrupt his tour over oil-producing countries and return to Venezuela.

Meanwhile, Nicolas Maduro announced his readiness to talks with the opposition. At the same time, he stressed that according to the Constitution, the National Assembly had no power to initiate impeachment procedures without prior. Moreover, President of Bolivia  Evo Morales supported Maduro in his decision by publishing a relevant statement.

In Russia, where Maduro was going to pay a visit, PDVSA (Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A.) President Eulogio Del Pino arrived. He has already met with the current minister of energy of Russia Alexander Novak.
