Erdogan in Uzbekistan

The president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan has paid a visit to Uzbekistan, which was the first one in 13 years of activity at such official level.

Erdogan said: «We want to open a new page in ties with our Uzbek brothers».

During the summit, the talks with Shavkat Mirziyoyev, PM of Uzbekistan are going to be held. A number of economic issues are expected to be discussed.

Moreover, this visit follows after Erdogan’ visit to Pakistan, where he was yesterday and earlier - in Belarus. Certainly, Turkey is looking for new allies among the countries, which are keeping to anti-Western positions.
