Elections in two more regions of Palestine postponed
The elections in two more regions of Palestine were postponed.
This was announced by Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah.
The municipal elections in Judea and Samaria were Postponed .
Previous elections have been canceled in the Gaza Strip, because the Supreme Court did not trust their organization to the Hamas movement.
According to Israeli media, the election date has not been set.
However, in a statement Rami Hamdallah clearly stated that elections will be held in all regions of the country in four month time.
"In agreement with President Mahmoud Abbas, we have decided to postpone the election by four months to create the legal conditions necessary for their conduct" - added the Prime Minister.
Most likely, this is due to the unstable situation and the danger of provocations on the part of Israel, which has stepped up attacks on refugee camps and the peaceful settlement of Palestine before the elections, which were to be held a month ago.
