Dmitry Peskov: Fox News reporter's words are ‘unacceptable, offensive’

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented the statement of Fox News host Bill O’Reilly.

“We believe these words on the part of the Fox News reporter are unacceptable, offensive. To be honest, of course, we would prefer to get apologies addressed to the [Russian] president from such a respected broadcaster,” Dmitry Peskov said.

In an interview on Sunday, Bill O’Reilly asked if Donald Trump respects President Putin, to which Trump has replied, “I do respect him. Well, I respect a lot of people, but that doesn’t mean I’ll get along with them.”

And then on the words of Bill O’Reilly “But, [Putin] is a killer," Donald Trump responded: “There are a lot of killers. We've got a lot of killers. What do you think? Our country's so innocent?”
