Chinese planes flew over the disputed Spratly Islands in the South China Sea

Several of China's Air Force combat aircraft, including bombers, fighters and aircraft airborne warning and control, flew over the Spratly Islands (Nansha Islands) in the South China Sea, said the Ministry of National Defense of the PRC.

The islands are claimed by China, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei and Taiwan.

"Group of China Air Force aircraft made combat patrol circled the airspace over the Nansha Islands and Huangyan reef (Skarborro) to combat training and advanced combat capability at China's security threats," - said the official representative of the Air Force of China Shen Tszinke. The report also states that the crew worked on the attack skills, self-defense and refueling in the air.
