Brazil: President of Senate accused of corruption

José Renan Calheiros, the current President of the Senate of Brazil was accused of corruption. However, he is still remaining at his post.

Calheiros is one of the closest supporters of President Michel Temer. Moreover, he participated in the coup against Dilma Vana Rousseff. Calheiros is the sixth high-ranking official in the administration of mason and liberal Temer, convicted of the corruption. This means that he tries to get rid of the former associates involved in organizing the illegal impeachment of the former president.
