We're living in interesting times. For more than 30 years, Europeans felt like living at the “End of History” as proclaimed by Francis Fukuyama. In the eyes of the geopolitician, the West appears to be one. This is only the apparent surface of reality. There is an alignment of European leaders with US foreign policy, but the West does not exist as one civilisation.
