Optimistic of resolution of Kashmir Issue Soon

Kashmir is one of the most beautiful parts of the world. It is considered the roof of the world, with high altitude mountains, lakes, rivers, and waterfalls, lush green grass-lands, naturally blessed with an abundance of rare scenic beauty, very rich in bio-diversity, some of the rare species of plants, flora, and animals are unique only for Kashmir. Kashmiri people are one of the most beautiful race on earth, brave, hospitable, peace-loving, and hardworking, is in their genetics. It was one of the most favorite places for tourists from all over the world, due to its natural beauty, friendly people, yet affordable. 

 

The population of approximately 15 Million, Kashmir is the northernmost geographical region of the Indian subcontinent. Until the mid-19th century, the term "Kashmir" denoted only the Kashmir Valley between the Great Himalayas and the Pir Panjal Range. Today, it denotes a larger area that includes the Indian-administered territory of Jammu and Kashmir (which includes the divisions Jammu, Kashmir Valley, and Ladakh), the Pakistani-administered territories of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, and Chinese-administered territories of Aksai Chin and the Trans-Karakoram Tract.

 

Unfortunately for the last 7 decades, Kashmir is burning, killing, torturing, rape, terrorism, kidnapping, suppression are a matter of daily routine. India has deployed around one million regular troops, equipped with all lethal weapons, and all dirty tricks are being used to suppress the Kashmiri people. Amnesty International has submitted a report of Indian atrocities while presenting this report UN spokesperson cannot control his emotions and was crying and weeping all the time. India has crossed all the records of human rights violations in Kashmir. To suppress 15 million people, one million troops’ means, for every 15 civilians, 1 soldier is deployed. In addition to it, outnumbers teachers, journalists, businessmen, NGOs, civil servants, under-cover social worker, Doctors, and para-medical workers and preachers are deputed to harm and control Kashmiris.  

 

 

This year, in the month of February, India, staged a drama of “Pulwama” and attacked Pakistan on 25 February, with its air force dropped bombs deep inside Pakistani Territory. Both countries were almost at the verge of nuclear war. But, Pakistan, being a responsible state, our visionary leadership has responded smartly to shut down Indian aggression, without escalating into full-fledged war. Pakistan successfully averted a nuclear war, a big disaster to humanity. Pakistan’s role was loaded and appreciated by International community and world powers. Pakistan has emerged a peace-loving, sensible & Responsible state, but India has been exposed as terrorist, extremist, and irresponsible country. 

 

However, afterward, International community has realized the importance of Kashmir issue and thinking seriously to resolve this log pending issue amicably. During the PM Imran Khan’s visit to the USA, President Trump has offered to mediate in resolving Kashmir issue between India and Pakistan. This is of very high significance, as India, kept of denying the implementation of UN resolution, and also avoiding to resolve bilaterally with Pakistan. The role of a third party is unavoidable, especially, the role of a super power will definitely bring India to talking table till the comprehensive solution on permanent basis. 

 

Chinese Foreign Office Spokesperson’s statement on 25 July 2019 at the regular press briefing: “As a neighbor to both Pakistan and India, China sincerely hopes that Pakistan and India can live in harmony. We hope the two countries can peacefully settle the Kashmir issue and other bilateral disputes through dialogue, and make concerted efforts to safeguard peace and stability in South Asia. We support the international community, the US included, in playing a constructive role in improving Pakistan-India relations through dialogue.”

 

It is believed that India may not be able to resist the demand of the International community anymore. Especially, if the USA, China, and Russia, exert pressure on India, the Kashmir problem will be resolved soon. It will ease to remove tension in the region. As the whole region is suffering from poverty due to heavy expenditures on defense. If the Kashmir issue is resolved, the cost of defense expenditures may be reduced drastically and the savings may be spent on the development and welfare of the common people. It will definitely improve the life of the whole region and we may contribute toward the millennium development goals in eradicating poverty.
