Metropolitan of Montenegro Amfilohije on Ukranian Schismatics

The Moscow Patriarchy has its own autonomous Ukrainian Church. Unfortunately, there are such cases as this unfortunate Filaret, who I doubt believes in God because people, who are the Church, who prefer the interests of the state, the interests of the nation, over God and the Gospel are people who do not belong to the spirit of the Orthodox Church. This is a heresy which was condemned in 1882. What is Filaret doing…precisely this ethnophyletism which is tearing the living body of the Church in Kievan Rus and the Orthodox Church of Russia in general. In doing so, he is demeaning both Orthodoxy and its mission in the modern world.
