US provokes Armenia towards war

On May 5th, the Armenian government will consider the recognition of the sovereignty of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic. Deputies from the pro-Western liberal “Heritage” party and the pro-Western bloc “Armenian National Congress” of the former president Levon Ter-Petrosyan proposed the corresponding bill.

American provocation

The main objective of this demarche is to destabilize the situation in the South Caucasus. Despite the formal ceasefire, mutual attacks in the zone of the Karabakh conflict continue. The United States is interested in the conflict, as it will absorb both Russia and Turkey, which will significantly weaken the two powers and will distract them from Syria and other global problems. For its kindling, the Americans will use their influence in the political classes of Azerbaijan and Armenia. In the context of the escalating conflict in the South Caucasus, the Armenian authorities are pushing for a solution that can unleash a large-scale war.

American Karabakh

Despite membership in the CSTO and the Customs Union, Armenia behaves independently of Russia in many areas, including the use of resources from the Armenian lobby in the United States. At the same time, the interaction with the US has the reverse effect. These same structures can become agents of American interests. It is significant that the US, unlike Russia, annually formally allocates financial assistance to Nagorno-Karabakh to the amount of several million dollars. American influence in Nagorno-Karabakh is underestimated by Russia, and this may be fatal mistake.
