Brazilian deputies voted for the president's resignation
The Brazilian Lower House of Parliament has voted to oust President Dilma Rousseff from power. 60% of parliamentarians – 314 persons, voted in favor of her impeachment. Previously, a special committee of the lower house, designed specifically to address the issue of Rousseff’s impeachment, made the same decision. Officially, she is accused of being involved in schemes of corruption in "Petrobras", the state oil company. However, the real reasons for her attempted ousting is Brazil's independent foreign policy and the country's active role in BRICS.
