Norbert Hofer was the undisputed leader of the race after taking first place in the first round. The outcome of the elections was decided by counting ballots sent by mail. We are talking about those who could not, for whatever reason, come to the polling station, as well as the voices of Austrian citizens living abroad. The objective difficulty of verification of these ballot papers and the slight advantage of Van der Bellen causes reasonable suspicion of falsifying the election results. In the second round of presidential elections in Austria, 165,212 ballots were declared invalid. This is 3.6% of the vote. It is suspicious that the number of "invalid" ballots in the second round increased by more than half compared to the first. Thus, the authorities can record a certain percentage of votes for Hofer in the "invalid" ballots, and thus steal his victory.
Austrian elections demonstrated the falsity of western democracy, where, ultimately, it is not important how citizens will vote, but how to count the votes of the representatives of the elites.
On the side of the Van der Bellen was the power of left-liberal media, which deployed an aggressive campaign to smear the candidate from the Austrian Freedom Party. He was accused of fascism and German expansionism. In addition, the "Greens" are part of the left-liberal political establishment. Therefore, the ruling parties - the "left" (social democrats) and the “right” (the Austrian People's Party) - supported Van der Bellen against the eurosceptic and sovereigntist Hofer. Administrative resources were also on the side of the opponents of the Austrian Freedom Party.
Even official figures show the unprecedented popularity of the Austrian Freedom Party. In the context of the propaganda campaign to demonize the party, at least half of Austrians voted in favor of it. This indicates that Austrians want the changes advocated by the Freedom Party: sovereignty, anti-migrant policies, non-involvement in US Transatlantic partnership, friendship with Russia, and the defense of traditional values.
The anti-democratic results of the Austrian elections are demonstrated by the unwillingness of the new president to take into account the position of his opponents, i.e. the majority of the population, which came and made its choice on Sunday. Van der Bellen has already stated that in case of a victory for the Freedom Party in the parliamentary elections, he will not allow its representatives to form a government. The "green" Bellen has the exact opposite program to Hofer’s: open-door policy for refugees, promoting sodomy, obediently following in the footsteps of Brussels and the United States. And he does not intend to change this direction after victory, despite the fact that the majority supports the opposite idea. Essentially, this means an open liberal totalitarianism regime in Austria.
